Cook's tip
Freshly cooked rice turns mushy, so use cold leftover rice or frozen rice briefly warmed in the microwave. If your kimchi is young and tastes flat, use less sugar and add a few drops of vinegar. Ham or canned tuna work well instead of pork.
Cooking it at camp
A perfect camp breakfast: fry the rice on one side of a wide pan or griddle and the eggs on the other. Cook extra rice the night before and it will be ideal by morning.
