Cook's tip

Dry the cabbage thoroughly or the lángos will go soggy. A little ketchup stirred into tonkatsu sauce brings it closer to okonomiyaki sauce. Fried prawns or squid work instead of bacon.

Cooking it at camp

Prepare the dough, shredded cabbage and sauces at home and pack them in the cooler. At the campsite, fry in a deep pot on a stable burner and cook the bacon on the grill if you like. Always keep a lid within reach.
