Shiro Pasta e Ceci with Berbere and Rosemary (Ethiopian x Italian)
Rome's chickpea and pasta soup made creamy and gently fiery with berbere and a spoonful of shiro powder: a one-pot Ethiopian-Italian supper.

Add in this stepShort pasta (ditalini or similar) 120 g

Cook's tip
The pasta keeps drinking the broth as it sits, so turn off the heat when it still looks a little loose. For a vegan version, swap the Parmigiano for toasted breadcrumbs mixed with lemon zest.
Cooking it at camp
One burner, one pot: perfect for camping. Pack canned chickpeas, a stock cube and a bag of shiro powder mixed with berbere, then follow the same steps with water.
