Cook's tip

To save time, microwave the pricked potatoes for 4 to 5 minutes each, turning once, then finish in the oven for just 20 minutes to crisp the skin. Floury potatoes give the fluffiest result.

Cooking it at camp

At a campsite, wrap the potatoes in two layers of foil and bury them at the edge of the embers for 45 to 60 minutes, turning now and then. Grill the frankfurters, fill the opened potatoes and leave them loosely covered with foil for 5 minutes so the cheese melts.
