Cook's tip

A runny sauce makes the bread soggy, so reduce it well. An air fryer at 180°C for 5–6 minutes works instead of the oven. Shredded leftover roast chicken is a great shortcut.

Cooking it at camp

Without an oven, use a grill rack or a lidded cast-iron pan. Toast the bread lightly on both sides over low heat, add the sauce and cheese, cover and wait 3–4 minutes until the cheese melts. You can make the sauce at home.
